Any quick scenarios or OOB for the siege of Vienna 1683? We're considering using Pikeman's Lament.

PL is a skirmish game right? Like Lion Rampant? I'd think with a battle that big you could field almost anything and not be too far off?

Seems an awful huge battle to use Pikeman's Lament for unless you are just doing a representative slice of it. That said we have been playing Lament and we enjoy it. But our fights are more like skirmishes.

We tend to push the envelope a bit,
usually 30-40 points per player.
had 90 points per side this Saturday.

I was thinking for Vienna 120 points per side
That would give at least 20 cav units per side

Why not use a mass battles rule set designed forvthat kind of battle?

Hey Crispy,
Everybody really enjoys the rules.
And they can handle the size of the game pretty well,
we did the same for Lion Rampant.

I was just trying to get a feel for
percentage of Poles vs Western cav and
turkish elit cav vs regular sipahis and lt cav.

Using the Lace Wars Scenario book, there are 22 Units of Spahi, (Including Elites) 9 of Tartar, 7 of inf. West – 6 of Cuirassier, 7 Dragoon, 26 Inf, 4 Polish Hussar, 1 Pancerni, 1 Dragoon, 5 Polish Foot,

Tally Ho!
