The Mouse is making preparations for a big move into the streaming service market. It's gunning for Netflix, among others.

Disney officially announced a new Star Wars trilogy that is not tied to the Skywalkers. They also announced a new live action Star Wars series as well. Meanwhile, they've been talking to Fox about acquiring their movie and television studios. But, even if they get blocked, they're going to want the distribution rights to Star Wars back.

Think of it, though. If Futurama becomes a Disney property, does Bender become BN-DR?

I think even five years ago this would have been really exiting news. Now, I just have no faith that it will be good.

For myself I do have faith that it'll be good since I like ALL the Star Wars movies 1-8 and I'm looking forward to The Last Jedi next month.

Disney owns Marvel Comics and should get the rights to all the titles. Just like Warner Brothers has the rights to all the DC characters. 20th Century Fox and Netflix will have to come to an arrangement with Disney like Sony did with Spiderman so that everything falls under the MCU.

With regards to the Ewok Christmas Special I don't think much of that I even think less of that DREADED Star Wars Christmas Special I saw it once and have NEVER seen it again.
