I just watched the adverts for Sedition Wars on their site, and love the minis and the overall look of the game. I'm slightly hesitant to splash my cash at the moment coz I spent £80.00 GBP on corridors etc from those nice people from Ainsty Castings at Selwg (they did me £103.00 GBP worth of goods for 80 quid). So has anyone tried Sedition Wars and is it worth the investment considering I just spent loads of cash? |

I was given a copy as a gift from a friend. I didn't care much for the rules as written, though I believe there was an update for them after my copy had been printed. I haven't read that version so can't comment on them. The minis on the other hand are wonderful. I have debated buying more copies of the game just for them. |

The minis are nice. You should get the base game cheaper in second hand, as many copies were shed out during the Kickstarter, and the game did not hold up to many backers expectations. If you like the minis, get them. |

Very good review Here: link The absolutely essential Esoteric Order of Gamers (UniversalHead) Fixes for the game: link link |

Thanks guys, The minis are great, and I like the background idea, but the price is a teeny bit high. I'll have a look at ebay and see if anyone is selling it second hand. |

I just put a bid in on ebay for it (wont say how much). The bidding ends tomorrow. |

Bought heavily into the KS, but you can now pick up brand new sets regulalrly for £30.00 GBP in around 55 minis of excellent quality, I have about 4 sets last two cost me £34.00 GBP for 2 brand new boxes on ebay |

The miniatures and other components are great, the game sucks, as it stands. I paid full price for it, and regret it. If you get a cheaper one, go for it. |

If you can get them to ship to the UK, Amazon in the USA has it for about 40 bucks. link I didn't hear much good about the initial rules, but reportedly the updated rules (available online I think?) cleaned things up a bit. I bought and painted 3 sets of the Vanguard from the boxed set when they were going for about $26. USD FInished results here: link I wasn't overly impressed by look of the game so I never played it and traded away all the other game components and strain figs. Kind of wish I'd kept some of the game boards. I agree with folks saying that the figs are quite nice as are the bases, however the Vanguard don't fit together perfectly and require a bit of finesse. I reviewed them here: link Most of the the Strain figs are pretty good companions for Mantic Deadzone "Plague" figs. My buddy painted up a batch of the strain and Plague together into a large "radioactive mutant" horde here: link All this to say, at $26 USD it was an amazing deal. At $40 USD it's still a great deal even if you just want the figs. At $80 USD (around 50GBP I think?) It becomes significantly less appealing, but if you want to actually play the game then it might be worth while. I certainly wouldn't have paid more than $50 USD or anywhere near what the full KS retail was. |

Thanks guys. I was the only bidder on ebay and paid out £25.00 GBP, which is not bad. I had a look at the reviews and from what I picked up the minis have a lot of flash and mold lines to deal with. I may just use my own minis for a while until I have made up and painted the ones in the box. |

My minis didn't have lots of mold-line troubles on the humans, but flash was a bit of an issue in places. technozombies were a bit messier though. Funny enough, I really only backed the KS for the terrain and the clear plastic troopers. |

I have an extra base game set in the US SF Bay Area if anyone wants to trade for it. Between $25 USD and $40 USD, sure, why not. The game has a nice set of sf bases, which I also bought the mini's for. Thanks for the review, bass! link |

I'm expecting to get my order from ebay next week. I've had a look at some of the reviews and can understand why the game tanked. Not all folk who want to play board games are all that bothered about assembling and painting minis. They want to open the box and just play. I mostly want it for the figs and the fluff, so I don't mind. |

I'm told that Ebay will be delivering my set in the next few days. Trouble is I have all the patience of an Italian driver behind two priests in a Skoda (Black Adder quote) and have already been converting troops to suit the Vanguard… |

I'm 3D-ifying the boards to make a 4x4 table (9 boards with "corridors" separating each). Walls are 4" tall but drop to 2 1/2" on certain boards to allow for "underfloor" detailing. This is on top of the "scatter" terrain pieces which will go inside the pieces AND in the corridors. I intend to stack them inside big storage tubs when done to allow for easier transport. |

If your looking for a hard plastic replacement for the Vanguard, Mantic has an Enforcer Battalion deal coming round again at 7-8 pm (UK) time. That is 60 Enforcers and 20 Peacekeepers for £39.99 GBP, I picked up a set to replace my constantly falling to bits Vanguard. |
