We want to announce another Lard Days event at an HMGS convention. While we had a very successful Fall-In Lard Days event, if you're like me you are probably just getting your stuff put away from Fall-In and now we're bombarding you with getting ready for Cold Wars. At Fall-In we were in the tournament room and while that was a good location, we want to try and improve for Cold Wars. Patrick has reached out to the HMGS committees concerning dedicated gaming space in either a club room or the main Distelfink space. If we are unable to get this dedicated space we will revert to the tournament space. We are looking at 8 gaming tables total. This will give us some open space in which to spread out a little. Also we would have games in the PEL which should help with advertising the event. In order to adequately prepare for Cold Wars, Patrick and I need to know if you would like to run one or more games at Cold Wars. Please reply to Patrick (berkebilep at yahoo dot com) and yours truly (e dot bowen66 at yahoo dot com) if you wish to run a game. Please indicate the following so that we can start laying out a road map. Game System, e.g., IABSM Period, e.g., WWII Scale, e.g., 28mm Preferred Day(s) and Time(s), e.g., Friday 10:00am and 5:00pm and Saturday 7:00pm Please respond at your earliest convenience because we need an idea of interest for the effort to get a dedicated gaming space AND the due date for games to be in the initial PEL is 6 Dec. We will keep you posted on developments. Thanks to all those who ran a game, participated in a game or just stopped by the TFL area during Fall-In. We hope to see you and many more at Cold Wars. Take care, Ed |

I saw your games at Fall In. They were both good looking and well attended. Good luck with your efforts at Cold Wars 2018. FYI, given the current layout at The Host, it will be difficult to give you a club room with 8 tables. Even if you were given such a room, you would be expected to run 16-24 games. You may have better success staying in the Tournament area. |

Thanks for the comments on Fall-In. Also, thanks for the info. I think at Fall-In we had 14-15 games scheduled (a couple were not in the tourney room due to how people registered), so I think we can put on a good number of games. Whether it reaches that level, we'll have to see what response we get. But however it turns out our main objective is to have fun and put on games. Hope to see you at Cold Wars. |

I'm not going to be at Cold Wars (family schedule trumps coventions). However, maybe I'll get to see some more "Lard Action" at either The Weekend or Historicon. BTW – Just started to get into Sharp Practice. Looks like allot of fun. |

Bumping back to the top. We've gotten a good response so far – Chain of Command, BIG Chain of Command, Sharp Practice, and I Ain't Been Shot Mum. Looking for more…… Thanks. |
