Photos of my latest project. 6mm 1980s South African Micro-armor. I just completed the base coats. I've about lost my mind painting tires on the mechanized vehicles, though.

Nice, and I bet you can't wait to paint the boots, hands and faces on hundreds of infantry! :)

I've nearly completed a Russian Motor Rifle regiment (BTR) at 1:1 including the service and service support elements. A BTR has 8 tires, 150+ X BTRs/Rgt = 1200 tires before you start counting the first UAZ-469, GAZ-66, URAL-375 and dozens of trailer, so I completely understand how you feel about tires.

Look good. Always wanted to put together a 1980s SADF force along with some Angolan Brigades. Couldn't decide if I wanted to do it in 6mm or 3mm tho.

Re tyres: easier to paint the whole wheel dark grey/black, and then paint in the wheel hubs afterwards.
