Armageddon 2419 A.D. Wow. I hadn't seen this in ages. I'm about to give it another read: gutenberg.org/ebooks/32530 Dan PS. Here are a few more vintage SF novels online: link |

Did you have the old Ace edition?
Still have mine, I think. And come to think of it, I have the original magazine appearance around somewhere:

That's exactly the ACE cover on the copy I read! I think I paid a dime for it way back when, in the late 70s, very used. I hadn't seen the original magazine though. Dan PS. The one on Gutenberg has art by Frank R Paul:

That's from the 1928 Amazing, I think. That's a Paul cover. They frequently put his paintings on the back covers, too:

Neat that they reproduced the original. Think I'd get a headache trying to read that, though. More on Paul: frankwu.com/paul1.html Quite an imagination:

I missed all of that artwork – hardback in the town library. All gone now – they had a roof leak while the library was closed for a few years and pretty much every book in the library was tossed due to mildew. Old G.A. Henty, Battleship Boys, the Buck Rodgers, Just So Stories – some might well have had collectible value. |
