So I'm almost done painting another batch of ships, among them a pair of Karel Doormans (I think they're also called M-Frigates) which have no stats in Naval Command, my ruleset of choice.

Rather than try and extrapolate gaming stats on my own, it occurs to me that the abstracted nature of Naval Command means the Karel Doorman might actually end up with stats identical to a class with published stats. The question is…which one? I'm leaning towards the O H Perry class, but if anyone has better suggestions, I'd love to know.

Thanks!

I would go with the Knox class. The Perry class has the SM-1 AAM that the Doormam does not have.

The Karel Doormans are more akin to a T23, more modern, more survivable, better armed.

One of my international work colleagues was a senior government designer on the project, and I have spent a while visiting the ships in various places over the years

Mind you I can't check if here are T23 stats but I'm assuming yes

Don't know of anything called the T23. Are you talking about the Type 23 or Duke-class?

Any other thoughts our clarifications on this?
