None of this matters regarding wargaming Guadalcanal, the Solomons or the Pacific if the game/rules you use doesnt include the uncertainties, accidents or lack of knowledge. But of course we all know who those "strange ships" were, the defects of the US torpedoes, the exact situation regarding the IJN (which Turner and Halsey would have loved to know) |
