I have been googling for some time with no joy, so I am looking for pointers. I would like to find a mat, let's say 6' x 4', to use for city streets in Prohibition or Pulp era scenarios. Asphalt streets, sidewalks, maybe a little bit of urban grass. Ideally smooth (i.e. mousemat or vinyl rather than cloth). I have looked at a lot of manufacturers, but their urban mats tend to be either modern/futuristic with high-tec paraphernalia, or ruined – craters, fire damage, weeds and debris. I just want something that I can use as a city street in the mid-20th Century. Ideally sourced from the UK or Europe, since shipping can be expensive for a large mat, but I'd like to know about US sources too. Any ideas? |

Look no further than cigar box studios battlemats…..fleece mats and they have a street layout for pulp. I have several mats and the are wonderful. They can be washed…won't scratch your minis and are very detailed…..love them. Can't say enough good things about them. I just looked they have a 4x6 mat for 1920s fun…. |

Have looked at the Cigar Box Roaring 20's mat – it would probably be good but cannot confirm how wide the roads are – does anyone know? |

I agree. They are great. North Star Military Miniatures carries them in the UK. Here is the link to the section. link I believe the Roaring 20s is what Twoball Cane is talking about. I have been debating buying that myself. |

Thanks to all, these all look good. The Cigar Box one is fleece – will that work for a concrete/asphalt surface, as opposed to grass/vegetation? Anyone got that one? |
