Thanks to everyone who purchased raffle tickets, bid on auction items, and donated toys.

Also thanks to all of the dealers and people who donated items for the raffle.

To all of the painters who gave of their time to paint the items for the auction.

To Hobby U., Dan and HMGS for always supporting us and giving us space to run the event.

And lastly to the WNPG guys and gal who stand by me every year as I drive them crazy about this… they work their butts off and put in long hours to run this event,

All of you helped us raise $6,300 USD in cash and another $300 USD in donated toys, making this the best year we have ever had. I am proud to call myself a gamer and be in your company.

Thank you all!

A very tired and proud,
Santa Moe

Nice! Good work, all…. although that does mean that the zombie set bidding from a few years back is no longer the big dog auction…?

chuck05 Fezian06 Nov 2017 9:53 p.m. PST

Wow! That is great to hear.

capncarp06 Nov 2017 10:04 p.m. PST

Thank you, Santa Moe!

Lord A,

Although this is the best overall year, the zombie auction item was the best single item ever. $1.40 USD.

Thanks again…

Soooooo. Who is ready to start painting for next year?

I'm ready!

Nice work, Moe!

"Dealers and people?" Dealers are people too. Mostly.

And I think everyone would prefer that I hold off on painting until after the cataracts surgery.

Lord Ashram07 Nov 2017 8:51 a.m. PST

Ah, thanks Moe! I love the story of the zombie auction, especially since all involved parties are now friends and game together… :)

Moe the Great07 Nov 2017 9:27 a.m. PST

Lord,

I agree and I did mean $1,400.00 USD for that auction.

And Robert, you let me know when the surgery is done… I'll get some use out of those fixed eyes…

Funny. I was thinking about what I'm painting for next year. I got a few ideas.

bhall38907 Nov 2017 6:27 p.m. PST

So Moe, can you tell us what are the most popular items and scales? Ballpark?

So we can pick appropriate project…

Of course it's hard to predict what will do well each year, but WWII is always good and so is most historicals. With any auction, having something complete is the key, if a game is squad based, them a squad works, if its blood bowl them a whole team works. Most people don't want to have to match colors bases etc to match the rest of an army etc.

So a small unit of something works well or a whole games worth of figs does best. I already have lots that needs painted for next year and if there are a few people who want to work together I could give someone one side to paint and someone else the other side. Like we did with the Horizon Wars game and figs we had this year.

Let me know and other thoughts you have, I'm already planning to make bidder paddles. :-)
