A nice idea for a PA game, further demonstrating the game's flexibilty. Thanks for the posting – I enjoyed reading your AAR.

This looks great! Nice example of how the PA rules can be used for historical scenarios. Altho' I still have a lot of problems how to handle and resolve the gun team/machine gun rules. The rules seem scattered across various rules expansions / supplements and are confusing to me, how the guns and crews are treated. I need to seek clarification form the PA rules forums.

Pulp Leagues is the best compendium for most rules expansions. Gun Teams rules are on page 19.

The gun crew rules are in the Pulp Leagues expansion, but not the rules for the guns themselves. Both gun and gun team rules can be found in the Gadgets, Guns, and Vehicles supplement.

Thanks for the comments about the game. It was a lot of fun to do and everyone seemed to have fun.

I have started work for my Force 10 from Navarone game. Some of the figures from the commando game will reappear as the British. Now I just have to paint up Americans…

rags – The fact that the rules for Pulp Alley can be spread around is my one qualm with it (and another favorite of mine, Sergeants Miniatures Game).

I would rather have one comprehensive set of rules, rather than six or seven separate books, that you can add expansions to or replace parts. I always envision something loose-leaf, in a binder, that would allow that. Something akin to the Advanced Squad Leader method (just not that complex).

I understand your feelings, but you really only need the two rules expansions for your purposes, the Pulp Leagues book, which has all the new character types, abilities, perks, etc, and the Gadgets, Guns, and Vehicles, which has all the rules for the heavy hardware. All the other expansions are scenario campaigns, and any new rules material in them is covered in Pulp Leagues.
To be honest, after decades of beating my head against Games Workshop's customer-hating brick wall of avarice, Pulp Alley has been such a breath of fresh air that I don't mind spending 20 bucks now and then for a new supplement. I will support what makes me happy.
