Hi!
I've painted the Berdan's sharpshooters

Please, have a look on the following link:

Hope you'll like them

Nifty. I notice you've gone for a darker green than contemporary paintings show. Is there a positive reason? This isn't an entirely idle question, since I've just painted them in 10mm myself, and suspect I need to lighten their uniforms.

These sharpshooters are 28mm but are still a bit dark. It might be the camera settings.

Portraying them in 10mm will need a lighter shade of green anyway as smaller figures need more highlighting.

Very impressed, and with variety of the Perry sculpts.

I'm always surprised how miniatures appear different when photographed…

On the pictures they look almost black, when they are dark green in reality.

I should have painted them in lighter green anyway…

Thanks for your comments ;-)

I've highlighted mine in a lighter green a bit; marked improvement.

Following your remarks, I highlighted them a little bit more …

An I added their red cap badges.
