I am unclear about the shooting penalty at targets in hard cover. Am I right in assuming it takes 3 'hit' dice to score one hit? Thanks in advance. Old and confused. H

Hard cover adds two dice. if shooting at close range, you would need 3 hits for a kill. At long range, it would be 4. Hope that helps ?
