A report about the diorama in the "Museum Forum 1813" in Leipzig, Germany. It's just at the bottom of the Battle of Nations Memorial and really worth to visit.
Have fun with the pictures.

Great post and great pics. And a must place to visit. However, I don't think Napoleonic wargamers had to be reminded of the horrors and reality of war. The beauty, if I can call it that, and the enjoyment of wargaming with military miniatures, is that you can fight and win victories (or lose) via defeating regiments and destroying buildings, without anyone really getting killed or maimed or property and locations destroyed.

Gazzola, not entirely correct! I use brass rods for my lancers, sharpened to a find point, and my Vistula Lancers have skewered a couple of my wargame friends- and careless me, too!
