Nice report with photos.
Can we expect preparations for Tannenberg?

Cheers,
Robert

A "breath of fresh air" to see some 15mm WW1 action! Good paintwork too. Thanks for letting us see it.

Phil the french01 Nov 2017 3:25 a.m. PST

Thank you so much Robert, Colin and Martin, much appreciated…
@ Robert, Tannnenberg is a great idea, needs time to prepare…and time to play…but I hope so!
Cheers,
Phil.

Nice figures and nice pics!

Who makes those figures?

I see a lot of the outstanding Peter Pig figures but there are others that I don't recognize.

Phil the french01 Nov 2017 5:58 a.m. PST

Thank you so much guys, so kind of you…
@ Dave : William's right, most of them are Peter Pig, but other brands are presents, I'll post them here…when the owners told me!
All the best,
Phil.

Great report as always, mon ami!

Beautiful table and love to see early war action

Lascaris01 Nov 2017 6:59 a.m. PST

Beautiful table and a great report. What are you using for the mapping software and, what editor did you use to do the "binocular" image?

Ragbones01 Nov 2017 8:07 a.m. PST

Great looking table with a lot of detail and character in your minis. Can't wait to see more. thumbs up

Phil the french01 Nov 2017 8:12 a.m. PST

Many thanks Michael, Wayne and Lascaris, means a lot to me…
The mapping software is "battle chronicler", modified with Paint.net. For the "binocular view", I made it with Paint.net…Takes a little time but not so difficult…
Best regards,
Phil.

I never would have thought that WWI could be made to look beautiful, but you have done it. Superb figures and report!

Phil the french01 Nov 2017 11:09 a.m. PST

Many thanks Joe and Darryl, much appreciated…
Cheers,
Phil.

This is just awesome. I want to do 1914-1915 on the Western front in 15mm. Phil your game is just stunning. Great inspiration.

Phil the french01 Nov 2017 1:03 p.m. PST

Thank you so much Rallynow, hope you'll play this period soon, a diversified and interesting period…
All the best,
Phil.

Thanks for your great AAR and for including me in the group photo. Les Riflemen were tremendous hosts and made me feel at home, even when I murdered your language.

Phil the french04 Nov 2017 12:43 p.m. PST

It was a great pleasure for us, and I do not think that the language of Molière had a bad time…Hope to see you again, and longer!
Cheers,
Phil.

Brownand02 Dec 2017 6:17 a.m. PST

Phil, thanks for sharing. Looks like a great battle.
What rules do you use for ww1?

Phil the french03 Dec 2017 3:38 a.m. PST

Thanks a lot Brownand, we played with our own rules, a fast play system, link on the blog…in French I'm afraid!
Best regards,
Phil.

rsutton04 Jan 2018 6:16 p.m. PST

Lovely looking game. I couldn't see which 'games rules you were using.
