I was wondering if anyone can suggest some orders of battle, specifically the commanders of sub-organizations, for Agincourt. The sources are notably vague. I'm trying to do a rather large DBx style game, with "commands" each led by a historical person. I know that the English men-at-arms were led by the Duke of York on the right, Henry V in the center, and Lord Camoys on the left, but no mention is made in either Osprey or Medieval Warfare of who commanded the archers on the two wings. Osprey does have a picture of Sir Thomas Erpingham raising his baton to order them to begin shooting, but he was apparently more of a staff officer with Henry V in the center. Any suggestions for this? Also, I need help with the commanders of the French "commands," of which I have ten! Thanks.

Probably because we don't know. I don't think the primary sources mention any such commanders.

Maybe Great War Ace, TMP's resident Agincourt expert, can confirm or deny?

It is possible that the archers were deployed as one body across the whole front with the three bodies of foot deployed behind them. In which case Erpingham could have commanded the whole lot and given the recorded order to fire.

Sorry about redirecting the conversation, but I would love to know what would be a good order of battle for Agincourt both English and French with regard to troop types and rough numbers? I would like to recreate the battle in 10mm scale using Days of Knights and "To Me" by Computer Strategies Pty Ltd. I would like to put in an order for Pendraken and want to have an idea of what and how much to buy.

Sorry - only verified members can post on the forums.
