I've been listening in on the Russian folk tales my wife tells my children. Koschei the Deathless and the dragon Zmey Gorynych are my current favourites.

Not really a monster but since that video and it's use in politics it has become my favourite monster.

That's hard!

It's like a favorite song, it might change every day, depending on mood or what pops into your head.

Right now, let's say, oh…. arrrgh, this is hard … the Headless Horseman. He's my favorite spook.

After that, the county tax assessor. Just got my property tax bill for the year, another $500 USD increase over last year. Like the year before and the year before and the three years before that. (And that is why we're gonna be priced out of our home soon.) That's real life today in Austin, TX. Monsters are in charge. Bloodsucking vampires.

The Colour Out of Space or the Thing from "Who Goes There"?
Honorable mention goes to Coeurl from "Black Destroyer". I read too much old SF.

I think Nosferatu is the creepiest. The Headless Horseman is second.
