6mm?

2x immediate ideas (because I've used them for my own 6mm BT stuff):

1. Spaceport = The old Monogram Cylon baseships … IIRC, 1x kit gets you 2x baseships = 4x halves = a freakin' amazing 6mm spaceport

2. Radar dish = Millenium Falcon radar dish (or whatever it is).

Kind of assumes you have a shedload of old kits just for this purpose … but don't we all? Isn't that a HUGE part of our hobby? :-)..

In the vein of using a plastic model I took this kit and used the upper and lower halves as space port buildings. They look pretty good. The kit is by Atlantis Models and is usually available on eBay for $10 USD-$15

auction

For a radar I used this dish from the Monsterpocalypse game available on eBay for $5 USD

auction

For the money, that radar is cool!!!

I'd still go for Cylon Baseship halves for the spaceport, though :-)

Monogram originally (when I got 2x boxes = 8 Spaceport Installations!), or Revell, who picked up the Monogram BG stuff. Just for the HUGE amount of detail on them!
