Assuming all good wargaming buddies, do you usually prefer a 1 to 1 match up or a 4+ player game. |

2 v 2 or 3 v 3. This is a social hobby for me. |

Having multiple folks on a side does a good job of replicating the fog of war. Also, it's just fun. |

1 to 1 usually. But in a way 4+ isn't big enough. Six players, for me, just means we're all waiting for Joe to finish his map-marking, or Sam and Harry have a long melee to finish at the other end of the table, and where did I put that book? But when you've got a dozen or more players and you're fighting a seriously big historical battle, there's a different thrill. |

1 on 1 since orchestrating schedules is such a pain. |

Group, plenty of blame to go around when you lose! |

They both have their purposes but overall group because of the social involvement. |

I really only game in groups of four or more, or I just game solo. |

Groups, by far. We usually have 2 vs 2. Sometimes 3 vs 3, if we are lucky! |

Group, definitely. Fog of war, communications problems, mutinies -- we love it all. |

I prefer group games but it's a 55/45 split. I wouldn't miss a night of gaming because it was only going to be one on one. |

Group, 4-6 is ideal to me. One on one games tend to get personal over time in my experience. |

1-on-1 just me and my buddy and no one else trying to butt in on our games or manipulate a command on one side or t'other and therefore hi-jack our pre-arranged game with our miniatures! |

1 vs 1 is the best if you really want to focus on the game. I like groups because the shared social aspect is so fun, but they slow down play in my experience. |

Group, by default. That's all we play. Usually 3x3 but the games are usually set up so if more show up, we can handle them. We can depend on 6 Regulars. Or 7…. So I buy, paint and organize accordingly. |
