I hold the Lighthorsemen charge at Beersheba one of the most amazing military feats in history. |

Great looking game and nice reports Ralph. I'm glad you stressed that they weren't cavalry. I wince every time I hear about it being a cavalry charge. I will have to watch the The Lighthorsemen this week in commemoration. One of my all-time favourite movies. |

Great work! Sounds like a ton of fun, too |

It's a pity Jim has never got around to making end sections for his trenches. |

May I suggest after you have watched "The Lighthorsemen" follow up with "Forty Thousand Horsemen". |

Thanks for your kind comments Mick, Louie and Frederick. Yes, definitely Mounted Infantrymen – armed with 18 inch bayonets, not sabres! |

A lot of my grandfather's mates in the 20's and 30's in Victoria were 4th Light Horse, so well done. |

Great pictures of a very good looking game. I played in a Beersheba game many years ago at an HMGS convention. The game was hosted by the late Mark Hayes, co-author of the rulebook "The Last Crusade." Great fun. One of the scenarios in the book covers the 4th ALH at Beersheba. If you can find the rules, they are worth a look. |

Thanks mate. Will look around, but actually I was very happy with the way BA covered it! |

I don't know how I missed this thread….Outstanding AAR and great looking game. Beautiful Australian Light Horse figs. I'd never heard of the movie the Forty Thousand Horsemen before. I'll be looking for it now. Cheers, JB |
