Great!

"Dioramas. They always look better with some personalisation, as do AFVs and softskins. What could be more personal than some looted (or otherwise) booze that has been liberated from an abandoned pub, or the cellar of a ruined mansion. Simulated glass can be hard to replicate yourself, but injection moulding or clear resin moulding makes your life a little easier. Along comes MiniArt with a set of wine bottle AND the crates to put them in. Not only that, but they come with decals to replicate labels and crate stencils! …"

too bad that wasn't offered in 28 and 20 mm as well.

Skarper28 Oct 2017 11:02 p.m. PST

A very nice idea, but really only useful in 1:35 for dioramas. I think even in 28mm the effect would be lost. 20mm even more so.

Quite expensive too for a bit of 'set dressing'.

Wonderful for a 1:35th diorama though, and thanks for posting Tango.

Wow — I would spring for that in 28mm!
1/48 would be fine.

Maybe someone could make them in clear resin on a 3D printer?

How clear can the resin be nowadays? Decals for labels would be easy enough I guess. But I suspect 1/48 would be a small as it would be visible.

Don't re-invent the wheel. Go to Bachman or other model railroad suppliers and look around. They make dozens, hundreds of different crates and boxes in four scales of moel railroads and all sizes. You'll easily find some that will work and quite inexpensive too.

S Gauge stuff is pretty close to 25/28mm. Also the least amount of things made for it. But still quite a bit--it's the old American Flyer gauge.
