Always had a soft spot for the early Marder III. Nice looking model. |

Nice products but only a few that I will carry in the store. I do not carry box sets that cost over $40. USD The winter Germans will sale. |
huron725 | 29 Oct 2017 5:12 a.m. PST |
I really like late war winter miniatures, so I'll be buying these. |
Bobgnar | 29 Oct 2017 2:33 p.m. PST |
I wish they would make a Kleinpanzer Wanze for use in the battle of Berlin. |
Tango01 | 29 Oct 2017 3:22 p.m. PST |
Glad you like them boys!. (smile) Bobgnar… your dog is running fast!… (smile)

Bobgnar, there is one Kleinpanzer Wanze in the Berlin box… |
Dentatus | 29 Oct 2017 8:07 p.m. PST |
That Battle for Berlin box looks great. |
Pyrrhic Victory | 30 Oct 2017 4:38 a.m. PST |
Are the buildings the Italeri 1:72 Berlin House ( link ) or have they been upscaled to 1:56? |
repaint | 30 Oct 2017 4:51 a.m. PST |
looks very good. The Battle for Berlin might a bit too expensive for my pocket though. |
Disco Joe | 30 Oct 2017 5:18 a.m. PST |
Bobgnar, the Wanze has been out by Warlord for a number of years now so you can just purchase that by itself if you don't want to purchase the whole set. |
Bobgnar | 30 Oct 2017 11:45 a.m. PST |
Hey guys', thanks much, I found it! I am planning to do a game of the Fuhrer escaping from Berlin. I wanted to have a few odds and ends of equipment along the way. I love This little bug a tank and this is about the only place to use it. |
andysyk | 30 Oct 2017 12:03 p.m. PST |
Id bet they are the 1;72 houses just like some of the other Italeri repackaged scenic stuff, I think this is bad practice. I buy a lot of Warlord stuff by the way, but that miss-scale repackaging is poor customer policy. |

Glad you like them too boys!. Amicalement Armand

I expect you're right Andy. Pity. |
Pyrrhic Victory | 31 Oct 2017 6:42 a.m. PST |
Yep, I'm mostly interested in the buildings and scenic things in the Berlin box and would put up with getting stuff I don't really need if the buildings were 1:56. If they are repurposed 1:72 not so much… |
andysyk | 31 Oct 2017 4:33 p.m. PST |
Those sets are a lot of money I would not be happy if I didn't know and purchased one only to find under scale buildings, it is not a small scale difference either. Somewhere on youtube is a video of the old ruined house kit and a 28mm figure is gigantic next to it, as to be expected! It really is taking the p**s Warlord. Be honest, or don't do it. Or better upscale the tooling! |
Fred Cartwright | 01 Nov 2017 4:48 a.m. PST |
There is one set of pictures, from the standard Battle of Berlin set, showing the buildings with figures posed next to them and it looks fine, so I think these are new kits in 1/56. Don't jump to conclusions. |
FlyXwire | 01 Nov 2017 5:54 a.m. PST |
It would be helpful if they showed the figures next to the building doorways in their advert media (because I think this mixing of scales issue raised here is very much to the point). |
Fred Cartwright | 01 Nov 2017 9:26 a.m. PST |
link It is on the website. |
andysyk | 01 Nov 2017 3:01 p.m. PST |
Fred The kits are very large, very heavy, they represent city blocks, Ive seen them, played with them, my friend has a lot of them, those are the 1/72 ones I'm pretty sure, otherwise I wouldn't have been so vehement. The entrance doorways are meant to be large lobbies. If I'm wrong I will apologise, but Warlord has a track record here and size wise they look exactly the same. In fact in 1/56 they would be much larger. |
Fred Cartwright | 01 Nov 2017 3:33 p.m. PST |
Bearing in mind the figures are on the bulky side to represent real people they don't look too bad. The tops of the tanks don't even come up to second story level so scale wise the first level is about 12'+ high. I wouldn't want them any bigger or they would take up too much table space. Be nice to see one in the flesh though. |
Fred Cartwright | 01 Nov 2017 3:43 p.m. PST |
Looking again at the Warlord picture a Soviet Soldier stood next to the building doesn't even come up to the bottom of the ground floor window. Looking at this picture of a WW2 Berlin Block the line of people are about level with the bottom of the windows. link |
andysyk | 02 Nov 2017 4:11 a.m. PST |
I'm just saying they are the 1/72nd kits. Use them if you want. Like I said they are big models and they would be very big in 1/56 but I don't like that a company especially with the footprint of that Warlord has got in the industry, should be selling 1/72nd stuff as 1/56. They already do it and people are upset after buying the stuff. I havnt, I was lucky enough to recognise the other the other kits having used them for 20mm. Its the principle, its wrong. |
FlyXwire | 02 Nov 2017 6:13 a.m. PST |
I bet they're the Italeri 1/72nd Berlin model buildings: link I've had a friend who's felt he's been burned with too-small vehicles being marketed as 1/56th. |
Fred Cartwright | 02 Nov 2017 8:28 a.m. PST |
Like I said they are big models and they would be very big in 1/56 but I don't like that a company especially with the footprint of that Warlord has got in the industry, should be selling 1/72nd stuff as 1/56. 1/56 would be too big for me. I built my own anyway, but they are scaled down to reduce the footprint on the table. Otherwise you would have a couple of buildings and no room for anything else. As long as the troops look like they can get through the doors I am ok with it. They already do it and people are upset after buying the stuff. I assume you are referring to scenic items as all the vehicles I have scale out ok. My scenery is either self built or from Sarrisa or 4ground. |
andysyk | 02 Nov 2017 9:52 a.m. PST |
Yes the scenic stuff. But I think there may be an issue with the old FOA vehicles they market. Maybe that's what FlyXwire is referring to? I cant comment on those, I don't know. |
Fred Cartwright | 02 Nov 2017 11:17 a.m. PST |
FOA were originally 1/60, but were remastered to 1/56. I have an original FOA Panzer I and also one of the new ones and the size difference is noticeable. |
