I am looking for furniture to kit out the interior of my 28mm Pulp Era buildings. Aside from mdf from the like of 4Ground, I have been pointed in the direction of plastic 1:48 scale dolls house furniture, some of which is very affordable as kitchen/bathroom/bedroom sets.

Bearing in mind that, for 28mm, 1:56 is perhaps the closest scale, would 1:48 be too large for the figures and buildings?

Any thoughts or suggestions would be appreciated. I am not that keen on cardstock as they tend to look too "blocky" for some items such as baths and toilets.

Quarter inch (1/48) doll house furniture works fine with 28mm figures.

I use Doll House furniture in my 28mm WW2 games, it looks fine. I think they call it "quarter inch scale."

I bought mine from here:

I have a few packs of the same item but bought at a local Hobby Store. It looks to scale for 28mm. Dressers and sinks etc. are pretty loose in terms of size and the chairs blend right in.

Architectural models might work:

The prices don't seem to bad. There is a full pdf catalog with a lot of furniture type items

I've got a load I'm going to use. As has been commented, they're a pretty good match with 28mm figures.

If you will scroll down to the bottom of the page, the "Mean Sets" page at TVAG has a list of providers of 1:48 (O Gauge) furniture, fixtures, and all manner of items for use with 28mm figures.

Having just checked, the link to "Bowser" appears down, but all the rest are active.

And War Games Vault sells the bargain priced "Pulp Places" range of breath taking card stock furniture for a song--definitely worth a look!

Some models arrived today from A Trifle Small (in the UK). Very nice little models and perfect for my 28mm Mean Sets from TVAG. Also, great value.
