"President John F. Kennedy's death gave birth to decades of competing theories -- and a mountain of government paperwork. Over the years, those theories sprawled, and the government made some of its document hoard public. Seeking to settle the matter once and for all, Congress passed a law 25 years ago mandating the government release all its documents and giving agencies a long window to keep sensitive information secret. And this Thursday, in pursuant with the JFK Records Act, the remaining few thousand secret government documents relating to the assassination -- from a total that once made up millions -- will see the light of day, barring a block from President Donald Trump…" Main page link Do you expect any surprise?… Amicalement Armand

The terrain at Dealy Plaza would make an interesting miniatures game at skirmish level, I think, or even a squad-level fight. The assassination would be done, too. You'll need a lot of civilians. Maybe you have rules for home movies -- e.g., certain factions get victory points for capturing home movies that they will either publish or destroy. As far as which factions, I think that I would put all of them in -- Cuban intelligence, the CIA, anti-Castro Cubans who hate Kennedy for the Bay of Pigs, anti-Castro Cubans who love Kennedy for his support even though it didn't work out, the KGB, Oswald's alienated wife, and, of course, gray aliens. |

You forgot future JFK on the grassy knoll. |

@VCarter: Oh! Right, of course! A friend who is a retired Army sniper said that there is no way a right-handed sniper would take that shot from the Book Depository. He said that from the Book Depository, your best shot is straight down into the target vehicle as it slowly turns left from Houston onto Elm. He agreed that the grassy knoll is the best place to set up in the area, so that you are shooting at a vehicle approaching you and slightly below. The grassy knoll also allows easy exfiltration, unlike the Book Depository. |

Doesn't matter. Conspiracy theories are so much a part of our culture now, even if they did release every single scrap of information they have, and even declassify everything about it, we'd still be in the same place, maybe worse. People would nit-pick at the details, not believe certain details or accuse them of being fabricated etc, etc. It's a pointless gesture that won't effect anything. |

Doesn't matter Spot on. The tin foil hat brigade will believe whatever they want to believe. As a buddy pointed out, if all the people purported to be on the "grassy knoll" were present, they would've in short order turned it into the "not so grassy depression"…. |

@Cyrus Are you sure that it was not the Illuminati? Has to be the Free Masons. |

I grew up with all the talk. I was in grammar school when it happened. So I agree that it does not matter. |
