Hi guys, I am working on a Bonsho bell tower paper model. Here you can see my first prototype of the bell itself.
I then adjusted the stone foundations from the temple set to fit the new size required.
This is the prototype of the wooden framework.
It can be built just the outside layer or as shown here full 3D.
These are the modules the roof is made of. This way you can see the details of texturing better.
And finally a first test assembly, putting it all together.
Still some minor things to add but I should be finished soon :-) |

Brilliant. Show that to the 3D printer fans. |

Awesome! May have to get that one when you release it into the wilds. What's the predicted cost? |

I am thinking how much work it would be to make my 3D model ready for 3D printing. Would be an interesting exercise. Predicted cost? I would say USD5 plus some special offer the first month. Affordable enough? |

I completed the ornaments on the textures for the bell and also made a simple bell version. It's plain cylindrical but once mounted in the tower it still looks great, as you don't see that much of it anyway :-)
This is the simple bell in position …

A couple more WIP pics … nearing completion :) Finished the weathering of the roof.
Some front details…
And the new mount for the roof section…
… that way I can also use the roof from the Samurai Castle set (here the blue version).
