My understanding is that Gribeauval howitzer had a unique carriage. I need a Gribeauval howitzer to go with my 8pdrs. 28mm and not under or over scale.

Try the Calpe range. The Gribeauval howitzer fits in with Perrys and Black Howitzer.

Also Brigade Games and Eureka Miniatures.

Calpe's is post-1808.
Can't find any howitzer in the Eureka range only 4 and 8 pders.
I have just ordered from brigade games and the shipping will be way too high for just a gun.

ah, I found the howitzer on the main Eureka page, fighting15s didn't have it.

"I have just ordered from brigade games and the shipping will be way too high for just a gun."

Well, that means order more as we add to the range each month. :-)

But seriously, we have no control over the USPS international post costs.
The minimum for a parcel under 8 ounces is $13.50 USD.
We find most orders we get are in the next weight/rate band 8.01-32.0 ounces, which is $22.50 USD.

You'll be seeing more orders for Russians at the very least. I do hope you'll add artillery and hussars. If you do the range will be mostly complete.

I have to put in my "penn'orth" if only because, for ages, I said the Brigade Games Miniatures figures were largely denied to us.

Shipping is one thing. The snag is getting anything from outside the EU through our UK Customs folk. It is totally inconsistent, but they can slap on an import duty. But that has not been paid…so our postal service will not deliver…so they add a holding change and you must still collect from some office many miles away. My Altama desert boots were a classic………..

Never happened with BGM. If you want just one gun I suspect even UK postage costs will be prohibitive. Even worse….Try ordering from Eureka in OZ (that is serious expense)!

The lead mountain does build up, because you know you want a couple of Gardes d'Honneur or some 2nd Light KGL, but you want to maximize the order, as postage is fixed. So you get a few dozen other figures with the best of intentions. They sit there.

The end result? The Perrys recline in their yacht off St Tropez and decide whether to have another Dry Martini, or just take the two Ferraris into town for a night out.

I do not begrudge them their multi-millions though. They deserve them.

Back to the original posting, the Gribeauval howitzer carriage was somewhat different from the gun carriages of 'the three calibers' in that it was shorter. Further, it was less curved in the cheeks that the three field carriages were.
