I strongly recommend Neil Thomas' Intro to Wargaming. The rules are simple, quick and give a basic feel for combat in the various eras. It really opened my eyes to gaming different time periods that I would not have otherwise considered. Very easy on the figure count as well which is great when just getting started. As a matter of fact you could even use wooden blocks if figures were lacking. |
