After several years out of the hobby, I fancied getting back in but have found my efforts frustrated by a lack of people to game with.

I live in North East London and can travel, I can even host sizeable games .

Does anyone in London play Ancients in 25/28mm and would be up for a game. I am a bit out of the loop as far as gaming systems. When I last played GW pulled the plug on WAB , which had been circling the drain for years. As far as I recall none of the successor systems really took off.
I'm happy to try new rule sets ( as long as its not Field of Glory which does not float my boat)

I've tried visiting the local clubs but its pretty much a 40K only zone out here. I find it impossible to get excited about the prospect of painting 10 or 15mm scale figures.

WELL….

The Central London club play Art de la guerre. And I know they have 25/28mm armies. I believe they meet in a pub that does curry – might be worth tracking them down

I know it is a bit further round the M25, but try Pinner pinnerwargames.org.uk

Several of them play 25mm DBMM (and even 6th).

I live in North London but don't have time to play much, except at shows. The Pinner crowd are a great bunch. Some of them play rules I published called "To the strongest!"; we have a very large tournament coming up in February at Chargrove, near Oxford. There are other TtS players at Essex Warriors in Writtle.

Other 28mm gamers are playing Hail Caesar or WAB v1.5 or some of the WAB Successor systems.

Thanks everyone who replied. BRB- I'm a little curious about how a club in a village outside of Chelmsford is a North London club. Its rather a long commute!!

Maybe I'm missing something but Pinner is in the London Borough of Harrow so north west London.

It is North West London so a bit of a trek

I checked out their website – seems to be 15mm DBMM hotbed. Could suit if that is what you are after I guess. I'm not sure if I can face 45 minutes on the Metropolitan line to play DBMM though. Hail Caesar would be be doable but I always found DBM to be Deadly Boring
