Was it commisioned by the men in the Black Helicopters to let the world know that a new nation was born, open and available for exploitation? Inquiring minds wish to know.

The "Raspberry Beret" is the color of the headgear worn by the Bongolesian Presidential Guard. It is colorful, and impressive, and makes you want to dance…..

Does the president for life wear nothing else on certain occasions? Does he go in through out doors? If the answers are yes then I must say that the song was written for him.

Hmmm… do not think the lyrics indicate so.

Unless there are layers (like a parfait… everyone likes parfaits, right?), the lyrics seem to indicate it was a desirable female that wore the headgear.

Plus… Are there many "Five and Dimes" in Bongolesia?

Any farms owned by an "old man Johnson?"

I understand the beret was off-white before being exposed to the Purple Rain back in 1999!
