I am in the process of repatriating to Wellington after time away. During that time I have raised a few TtS!/Impetus based armies (Hun, Goth, Late Roman/Early Byzantine, Italian Wars French an Spanish) along with some Seminole War forces for Sharp Practice/other skirmish. (I will learn next week how well these survived the trip!). I will do the rounds of visiting local club days to see what's being played but I thought I would raise the flag here too. I have not played Impetus before.

Other projects on the go/near completion:
French in Indochina. No idea what rule system to use – based on what I have read, I think I would like Chain of Command or Nuts, but Bolt Action seems to have sway locally?
Wars of the Roses/Late Medieval
Upcoming: Samurai (inspired by a recent visit to Sekigahara)

Admittedly I fall more in the paint than play category but looking to change that balance especially as the wife threatens cutting off the lead supply unless "I play with the toys".

Hi Dean

You would be most welcome to visit the Wellington Warlords to test the waters. 28mm DBMM and 15mm DBA are the main ancient games played although Impetus and ADLG have both made appearances.
There were some 28mm demonstration games of To The Strongest played at Call to Arms, the Warlord's annual convention back in August. Some club members are currently working on building 28mm Wars of the Roses armies for DBA.

I have run the Vietnam version of Nuts (FNG) at the club and I have Chain of Command but are yet to play those rules.

Cheers

Thanks for the info Julian. It looks like I will be living quite close to Warlords venue so that's handy. I did get some info on the weekend on the WoTR DBA plan, and it would be good to try out some Vietnam rules. This gives me some ideas for a painting/basing work plan over the Summer.

Hi Dean

A group of about four of us have played TTS a few times. We are scattered across the bottom of the North Island so don't get together all that often. Great game though.

I currently have a draft set of the ECW version, For King & Parliament, which we will probably be playing for the first time in December. The Hutt Club meeting on the second Saturday of December if you are interested or able to make it.

The Hutt club has also played a bit of Impetus in the past as well. I am not sure how many games are played at the moment though.

I have a large collection of early Italian Wars figures, and later Italian Wars. I hope to get some TTS games in for that period too. If I ever get our decorating finished.

Are you back in Wellington already or still in transit?

Phil
