The walk to the Sports Hall from Crystal Palace Station is pretty much the same as that from Penge West, reached by trains out of London Bridge, which is open.

I attended (I walked from home) and although a little quieter than two years ago the quality of games was higher I think and there seemed to be more participation games. Spent quite a lot with Early War Miniatures (then came home and umpired a game of IABSM).

I too was a little put out by the line closure, having had to 'bus' it back from Newbury to Reading after COLOURS.

In the event, I was travelling from North London, it worked out better than usual. I would normally catch a train to Seven Sisters and travel via the Victoria line to Victoria for another train to Crystal Palace. This time I caught a train to Highbury & Islington and caught the Overground line round to Penge West; as Andoreth has commented the walk from both is about the same.

Overall my journey was slightly quicker and I may well use this route as a preference next year.
