Russia? I don't think so. Santa Muerte is a quasi-goddess "saint" from Mexican Catholicism. The miniature depicts La (calavera) Catrina, rather than Santa Muerte. She is also a Mexican tradition, albeit as part of pop culture, rather than religion … And she symbolises día de muertos (the day of the dead), NOT Halloween. |
