Very nice. May I ask where you got your beveled bases from? I need a source.

Thank you

Always a sucker for a firing line. Very dramatic and nice variety of poses. Netherlands troops not too often seen and good to see the flank companies so well done.

Love the lace trim and cuff slashes, the shading on the haversack and, above all, the drums. Not personally ever been keen on painting in eyes, (although it worked very well in some of the Grenadier Co). In this scale I think your brain does that for you, unless figures are highly magnified.

Games Workshop bases?

Yes they're GW bases.

Thank you for your comments :-)

Great figures. Nice paint job. You have the same tendency as me and so many others – nobody firing in the 2nd rank. After a first volley, most units adopted a "fire at will" approach to firefights. Everyone firing and loading at their own speed.

Guys in the rear also fired! I've noticed my own units look like the guys in the rear rank are loading for the guys in the front rank. Not realistic.

Widowson's comment very well made. I have recently shown three British Light Infantry regt firing lines. Not one rear ranker is firing, even over the few kneelers in the front rank.

The snag is that a few figures are trying to look like what may be several hundred. Some degree of uniformity helps that illusion………..

But Widowson is undoubtedly right and I may well rethink that for my next project. Yes, thanks indeed
