More progress has been made reducing my new ACW pile of pewter troops to paint.
A rather unique brigade and enjoyable one to paint I must say. I wonder now…. if I should have figured this one out better and saved it for later, to break up all the basic federal garb I will most likely encounter with of all the remaining brigades yet to paint up! Well Anyway here is the 2nd brigade of Charles Griffin, in the Morrell Division, of V Corps.

It has two rather interesting units, which have made for a nice contrast with in the brigade. The fellows in the dark blue paints are the 4th Michigan and in support is the "red devils themselves"…14th Brooklyn in their scarlet chasseur style pants and kepis. You may note company B of the 14th are sporting their camp/smoking caps for the march!

Added to the mix is the 5th Mass. Lt Artillery.

The figures are mostly the fantastic Good Ground 10s with some Pendraken added to the mix, as the 4th Michigan.
Hope you enjoy and thanks for stopping in for a look!

10mm is the best scale for ACW, but i cant see to paint them anymore-gone to 28s.
