Good evening to all. I have researched a long time for nice warship miniatures for wargaming, and decided by the Panzerschiffe ones that you guys probably know about. I made a small order recently, to get to know how their products are, using PayPal for that. What is worrying me a little is that until now I had no reply from them, confirming the shipping. According to PayPal, the transaction is shown as concluded, but it has been a week and I didn't receive any emails or messages from them. I tried to contact them via three emails I found (one at their site, one I found here and the one registered in PayPal, all of them from AOL), to find out if they have a mailing code, so I can track it. I am about to try to call them, but since I'm from out of the USA, it may be complicated… Still, I would like to know from other people here about their experiences. From what I heard, there are many positive feedback (which made me more confortable about making business with them), so probably I have not many reasons to be worried. Anyway, maybe someone who bought products with them recently could share a little about the process, if they usually send a message to the buyer with information or something else, and how much time they usually take to send it. Thanks in advance. Regards |

I have dealt with them maybe 8 times in 15 years. The most recent being just over a year ago. The drill is always the same. You submit your order online. Pzs does not acknowledge. Usually within 5-7 days a little cardboard box shows up with everything you ordered. No frills, but no worries. I actually don't remember their affixing trackers. I'm not sure how long international shipping might take, but it's bound to take longer than domestic. I wouldn't start getting concerned until around day 20. k |

Panzerschiffes has been in business at least since the 1980's and is completely reputable. The only possible worry is that I think it is a one-man operation, and the proprietor must be getting up in years, so there is a possible vulerability to sudden health problems. |

Many thanks for the replies! I'm aware of Panzerschiffe's great reputation, is one of the reasons I chose it. And from what I saw here and in other sites, they carry a great diversity of ships. Now I can be more relaxed, since this is the procedure that usually happens. I'll wait, considering the international shipping, and let you guys know how it goes. Anyway, I believe it would be interesting if they had any kind of acknowledge that the order has been shipped, together with a tracking number. I know PayPal has this feature, where the seller can enter the shipping information there. This would be helpful, because postal services here in Brazil are too slow! Once I got an order from Europe, took 2 days to arrive here in the country, and then took 2 months to be delivered from the central distribution offices here. Having a code is useful, because I can have an idea of where it may be held, so I can try to request them to make it move… Thanks again for the information. |

I've used Panzerschiffe several times over some 20 years. They are reliable but do not confirm orders. I'm in the US so their orders come to me within a week to 10 days. Brazil probably would take much longer. Paypal will protect you and I think they'll let you wait as long as 180 days to resolve an issue. Tell us when your order arrives. Good luck! |

Thanks for the information Asterix. I would like to let you guys know that my order just arrived today. Great miniatures, and I'm certain I will get many other ones in a near future to increase the size of my fleet. I tried to check the tracking number as printed in the label, and I noticed that it took 15 days to arrive in Brazil, which is quite reasonable. And then some days to be sent here, which was surprisingly fast, not the usual behavior here. It is nice because now I have an idea of the USA-Brazil delivery time, so at the next opportunity I will know when I have to start to "make noise" at my local postal office to speed up my delivery. Anyway, I still believe it would be nice if they could send the tracking number, specially to international orders. Not because of Panzerschiffe, I was confortable with them; it is just because our local postal service is very bad, I had some situations of orders that were mysteriously lost here or that were only delivered after I started to bother them. Best regards to all, and again I leave here my good feedback from Panzerschiffe, for the great miniatures. |
