Hi all. I painted up some of these classic old-school Grenadier wee folk over at Dead Dick's Tavern. Drop by and check them out if so inclined! This is the second AD&D boxed set I've done recently, and I have to say they're a lot of fun. A real blast from the past! angrypiper.com/?p=1786 Comments welcome, there or here! |

Nice work! I always enjoy seeing older models like these with nice paint jobs. |

This and the dwarf set was the first two sets of miniatures that I ever purchased. |

I love it! Back in the day, I received this box set along with the D&D red box on my 12fh birthday…. and I still have both. I never painted any of the figures, but maybe I should… thanks for sharing! |

Great! The halflings were also one of the few "Gold Line" small boxes I didn't have when I started out. The minis from that old AD&D line are still some of my favorite minis to this day. Thanks for sharing, also! |

Thanks for the kind words, friends! Looking over my blog, I see that it was almost exactly a year ago that I posted my first TSR boxed set: Wizards. I think I'll try for at least one of these boxes a year. |

Like others here, this and the Dwarf set were some of my first miniatures. Sad thing is (me being sad that is) I have recollection at all what happened to them. I don't throw miniatures away, so where did they go? One survives, the axe hobbit got painted green and is a goblin in a regiment of citadel metal based goblins, painted in 1985, still in a box. |
