Hi, My son is looking for a 28mm or 30mm figure for a D&D Role Playing Game. He has a female character, a warrior/warlock but that doesn't particularly matter. Looking for a female figure with a sword in light armour (leather, chainmail, minimal plate). Elf or human. The challenge is that he is looking for a fully and sensibly clothed female figure. Also looking for reasonable price and available in the UK. Any ideas? Cheers, Andy |

Reaper makes a ton of such figures and has for years. You could also try Bad Squiggo. Sorry, I don't have a link. |

These two are a couple of my fav's for female lightly armored rogue/warrior type. link link Deladrin I was able to hook her off weapon and file it, making it into a sickle to more accurately portray one of my dual-wield PC's, Halee. |

The challenge is that he is looking for a fully and sensibly clothed female figure. Also looking for reasonable price and available in the UK. Bad Squiddo Games is the "home of Believable Female Miniatures". Lots of different periods. I have bought most of their fantasy / shieldmaiden ranges. badsquiddogames.com |

Thanks for the reaper links – I've found those in my searching and I agree that they are great. Great price too, $5.99 USD but the problem is that Reaper has a distorted view of reality when it comes it international shipping. On the $5.99 USD figure they offer two shipping options $21.38 USD and $59.38 USD. Sorry but that is taking the wee wee. Cheers, Andy |

For the Reaper ones, you may want to look for distributors out of the US. Or if you want to add a bunch of other minis to boost it over the shipping level, this month they also have the 2 promo bonus' with a limited edition mini and a random Halloween type bones mini along with 3 paints… |

+1 for Annie at Bad Squiido Games. You'll find she probably has the most comprehensive range of believable female figures. The Heroines in sensible shoes are also great and I was part of the kickstarter. The only caveat is that they are posed for dungeon adventuring, so many have a torch or lantern in the off hand. |

Ral Partha Europe do the DSA range, I have a few of the female adventurer types myself. |

If you are in the UK why are you bothering with anything other than Bad Squido Games, not only do they stock female figures from a wide range of manufacturers but they even group them on the website by type. They also attend lots of shows if you want to see the figures first. For fantasy figures: link |

As others have said Annie at Bad Squiddo is your man. If you are set on Reaper though I suggest Tim at Miniature Heroes miniature-heroes.co.uk |

Thanks for the tips about Bad Squiddo. I agree that there is some very interesting stuff on their site and I will certainly be looking at it some more in the future. However, my son found a figure on Magister Militum that he prefers and I have pre-ordered it to collect at SELWG on Sunday. Many thanks for all the advice. |
