Over the summer, my older son and I started watching the Clone Wars 3D cartoon. We are on season 3. I think these are better than all the prequels and TFA combined. I love all the adult themes: Anakin cutting off heads and stabbing through hearts, 3PO finding Anakin's clothes in Padme's bedroom, the clones using flamethrowers on the Geonosians. I also love the cheesy, cereal introductions. I think the characters of Ashoka, Rex & Yularen are excellent. It is very enjoyable and has us breaking out all our old Star Wars Miniatures from Wizkids! I am looking forward to progressing right into Rebels. |

I found them overall very well written, and a visual treat. It is almost as if the producers were saying "Yes, we know the prequel movies were terrible -- let us make up for it!" |

My boys and I both enjoyed them. Agree with you much better than all the new films except Rouge One. |

I enjoy the Clone trooper episodes. After a while you get a weird sense of disposableness to them and they know it. Rebels took me until end of 2nd season to really enjoy it. |

I agree, they were well done. You can see why Anakin was admired by the Republic. Not like the punk he was in the Prequels. Rebels is also quite good. Thanks, John |

Same here. The Clone Wars is a great show, and sadly it points to what the prequels could have been with better writing. |

I watch Clone Wars and Rebels quite frequently on DVD, and find them excellent entertainment! I actually prefer them to the films… |

The show lurches from excellent to dreadful, in other words from Clone Troops episodes to C3PO and R2 episodes. The unaired episodes are very good. |

Watched it, and loved it. There some stinker episodes, but every show has those. The overall product was a very fun sci fi war series. |

Jeff Ewing, the funny thing is Papa George was executive producer of them. He had oversight and decision making authority on everything in them. They talk about it in the DVD extras for each of the seasons. Although they tended to slip stuff in at the last minute, so that he couldn't fight it too much. They are the best of the prequel era stuff and I love them. |

I'm almost 60 years old and wouldn't miss an episode. Same holds true for Rebels |

I liked the episodes without Jar-Jar. And the later ones showing a domestic violence anakin were a tad much, too (S6 – his over-reactions to Padme getting to work with "an old flame".) But the clone stories were cool. |

I like ALL the episodes but some of my favorite episodes that I like ARE with Jar-Jar-Binks. |
