Hey all!

Well, heading to Fall In, and would love someone to recommend a game!

REALLY interested in a good looking game. Like… looks really matter to me.

I'd like something where they teach you… I don't know a lot of game systems.

Ideally I'd like something Napoleonic. Or zombie-ish. Or maybe AWI?

Anyway… anyone have any recommendations, or is anyone running a game they would like a player for?:) You know you'll get a lot of photos online!:D

Thanks all! Looking forward to Fall In!

I'm running a zombie game Sat at 1000 – S-129:10: "The good news is your group of survivors picked up a radio call announcing an evacuation from the local airport. The bad news is you're on the other side of own from the airport. And more bad news is the town is full of undead creatures hungering for your flesh. And the worst bad news is you are low on ammo and meds. Oh, and the zombies are mutating!"

A bunch of guys are running Too Fat Lardies games, maybe in their own area. Check out Sharp Practice or Chain of Command.

Indochina game, Friday at 2pm.

Brandywine game, Saturday 5pm.

There are a number of the computer moderated Carnage & Glory 2 games being run, Napoleonics, ACW etc.,.

capncarp12 Oct 2017 7:02 p.m. PST

There's one interesting Wings of Glory ragwing game late Saturday night at 10 pm, involving a flight whose assigned target is perched on top of the Empire State Building. Pete Panzieri is running a massive Sand Pebbles game Sat night, with 30 slots!
Howard Whitehouse is gm'ing Oh, Morocco! Oh, No, Morocco! Friday afternoon, and I've signed up for a Dad's Army game 6pm Friday, and Mrs. Carp had shown interest in one of the several "Look, Sarge…What The…???"games offered.
If you preregister (and you'd better _hurry_), you can see which are already full, any that have been cancelled, and those that are still open.

I am running a 54mm ACW game Drive Those Fellows Out of There! Multi player. Infantry and Artillery. Regimental level with easy player commanding a battery or a brigade.

Sadly I registered a game, it never made it to the PEL and the events people don't respond to email otherwise I would have had you in mine!

Stop by the HAWKs room. There are always a large number of fun games on offer, and no experience with the rules is required.

The Too Fat Lardies event will be run on Friday and Saturday in the Lancaster Showroom and Exhibit Hall. It is the large space to the left of the main entrance. We have Chain of Command, Sharp Practice, I Ain't Been Shot Mum, General D'armee and Pickett's Charge games scheduled. Should also be room for pick-up games.

capncarp13 Oct 2017 8:47 a.m. PST

The HAWKS are always good for a decent, fun game, and their rules are easy to pick up on the fly. Also check out the demo, walk-up, and pick-up games--sometimes you can get in on the ground floor of a real rip-snortin' set of new rules.

I am running a Franco-Prussian 1870 scenario. Saturday 1:00 S-379. 6mm using Bruce Weigle's new fast play 1871 rules. Custom terrain representing the hills of Alsace. Love to have you.

Empire of the dead (VSF/Horror) Saturday am various groups investigating strange base.

I will be running Ghost Archipelago demos in the dealer hall Saturday afternoon and Sunday am

Ottoathome13 Oct 2017 2:35 p.m. PST

I am running a Early WWI Army level game between two of my Imagi-Nations, Fahrvergnuggen and The Workers Winter Wonderland of Freeland. The Battle of Pocatello.

It is an ARMY level game so it's not your usually WWII "I wanna play Sgt. Rock" game".

It's not in the PEL or program. I am running it in open gaming. Let me know at sigurd@eclipse.net if you're interested. Bob and Cleo Liebl are playing so far but there's always room for more.

oldnorthstate13 Oct 2017 7:31 p.m. PST

On Saturday I'll be running two 40mm Napoleonic games using Carnage and Glory rules, which I think you are familiar with. The two games are linked, with the results from the first game being carried into the second game. Great figures, beautiful terrain and the best rules, what else could you ask for? Game will be in the Marietta Room, along with other CG games.

I don't see the TFL event in the PEL. Where can I get info on the games you are running?

Lord Ashram14 Oct 2017 6:31 a.m. PST

Hey guys, thanks for all the great suggestions!

95th, I've always wanted to try some lardies games… I didn't see any Sharpes Practice games listed in the PEL though? What would be a specific name I could look for? And could you handle a total newbie?

If that doesn't work out I might have to jump into a c and c game… you guys always do great stuff!

Thanks guys for all the suggestions… can't wait till the convention!

95th Division14 Oct 2017 7:26 a.m. PST

Lord Ashram & Greg,

Our games aren't in the PEL – the TFL event description is in the Tournaments section of the events listing online but individual games are not listed.
We will have sign-up sheets and schedules posted at Fall-In so please stop by and check it out. This is the first time we're trying this, so we'll see how it goes. FYI, I'll be running a Sharp Practice AWI game at noon on Friday and 5:00PM on Saturday. It's a fictional encounter set in the southern theatre of the war.

Okay, thanks… would really like to give it a try. Stop by the room what… Thursday night? Friday am?

Thanks again, all!
