Where did the commander sit in the Puma turret? On German AFV's the gunner sits to the left of the gun. On the Puma turret there are 2 hatches one slightly larger oval shaped to the left side (looking forward from the turret) and smaller round hatch on the right. If the commanders hatch is on the left I guess that makes him commander/gunner and if on the right commander/loader.

Looks like right of gun to me.

‘German Armoured Cars of WWII' by Milsom and Chamberlain says that the turret periscopes were mounted in the turret hatches. The vehicle commander had a second periscope mounted forward of the hatch in the turret roof. Looking at photos of Puma turrets it seems that many don't have this second periscope (production variant?), but those that do have the second one have it on the right. So my vote is for commander on the right.
