I'm moving to its western suburbs next week. So are there any clubs? Game stores? Local conventions besides Rapier? Anyplace with regular miniatures gaming? The last info I could find on a TMP search is from 3 years ago and a lot can happen in 3 years. |

They do have a large club. They put on Rapier with a lot of miniatures and board games. It is in Feb. there are also several other groups in the area as well. Check for contacts with HMGS South. |

"What Is Gaming Like in the Jacksonville FL Area?" Well I guess a couple of guys get together and put some terrain on a table and then lay out their metal or plastic miniatures. Then they move them about and roll dice to decide who wins. |

As mentioned the Jacksonville Garrison club hosts Rapier, a great convention. Also many of the Garrison members meet to game throughout the year. Good way to make contact is at Rapier. And two nice conventions down in Orlando area. HMGS-South puts on RECON last full weekend in April and HURRICON last full weekend in September. Jacksonville folks can tell you better but about a 2 1/2 hour drive each way. Check hmgs-south.com for more information. |

Drop me a note here. (I also just PMed you) I am Mike Finn, Jacksonville resident, Jacksonville Garrison (the club) member and regular gamer, basically every Friday night. Our regular haunt is called Borderland Comics and Games, located very centrally. Jacksonville is large in area, and sometimes straight routes just do not exist. But please, stop by and talk to us. Tell me what your interest are, I can tell you when we are doing that, or who is/might be and how to get in touch with them. Look forward to a note here and a chance to meet. |

Drop Mike a note, Jax Garrison is AWESOME!. Borderlands is a great spot for Gaming. Unfortunately I am moving (and crying because I am.), but the store and the Garrison are solid folks. |
