All,
I have a figure that a friend gave me ayear or so ago, as it fit into a project I've been working on. The base identfies it as being a Grenadier model from 1992. The figure is definitely a gangster type, flat, cap, pea coat, sawed off shotgun in one hand, automatic in the other. A great figure, and I'd love to see what else was in the range. Any ideas?

Look here. It could have come out of the Cthulhu or Secret Agents sets.

Fabe, Thanks for the tip, but no luck. I will say that the figure look better sculpted than the ones I looked at. It is a large figure, roughly 30mm from sole to eye.

Hmmn, googling "Grenadier Models Gangster", does turn the figure up as being a CoC model, but it isn't on the page you sent the link for.

Look under their Gangbusters line. I had a blister of G-Men that I sold off to Murphy about a year ago. I think it was from that range.

Could be the one in Mirliton's set nm006, pea coat, sawn off & pistol. The other figures in the set are older than this one iirc.

I have that figure too but not from Mirliton. I see that it is in their list, did they take over making Grenadier figures? At first this figure was too big for the rest of the 25 mm gangsters that I had, but now it fits in quite well with 28 mm figures.

Bob, no, you don't have it, you gave it to me! :)
I finally got around to painting it, and was curious as to other pieces in the range.

Yep, he is a great figure, but clearly done by a different sculptor than the other pieces.

I think (but I'm not 100% sure)that the larger sculpts, like the Gangland gunmen & Mad scientist's where done by a UK / European sculptor. The other older ones, by one of their regular American sculptors.
