Is there a set of rules that plays like saga for fantasy figures.. I don't want big mass combat.. Saga itself is a decent representation of what I like.

There are a number of fantasy themed battle boards for saga out there.

You could always take a given official saga board and just sub out for fantasy figures. Vikings = orcs (with goblins as levies), Normans = humans, etc.

Given the chance for divine intervention and such I've always considered Saga to be fantasy rules.

In many ways they go past Fantasy Rules.

There is this… taken from the Studio Tomahawk web site called "Fantastic Saga" it might be worth a look.

21eRegt, I agree. Saga always felt more fantasy than dark ages to me. That isn't necessarily bad, just how it feels to me.

What "divine intervention"?

SAGA 2nd edition is supposed to have official rules for fantasy/mythology in the appropriate setting source books.

I don't think regular Saga has any real fantasy elements. Some of the Battleboard boxes have 'Mythical' connotations, like the 'LOKI' box on the Viking one, but none of the actual outcomes represent fantastical occurances that did not happen in real life.

Elves, Dwarves, Giants and thunderbolts would be fantasy.
