Can anyone help me with the belt area of the second model from the left? I'm not really sure what I should be painting the semi circles hanging down as. Is it fabric, metal, just rope?

Thanks.

I don't know but this is a box of levy infantry. It's not going to be something expensive like metal armour. It might be textile armour. It's difficult to understand just what this is from the picture

I would suggest it might be leather, sort of some kind of ptruges.

Is it just the tunic rucked up under the belt?

If you go on to Lurkio's site at lurkio.co.uk and select the levy infantry from the FOG Battle Groups option, you can see a rear view of the figures as well.

Unfortunately that just makes it even more confusing as to what they are supposed to be wearing; but if anything it looks like some sort of decorated belt.

Why not just send Simon (Lurkio) an email and ask? He's always been very responsive to my questions.

I was in a hurry to find the answer and asking online seemed quicker than email. I ended up going with the leather suggestion and did the loops a leather colour. They're finished just waiting for me to pick a basing colour scheme.
