I'm sure we've done this before, but what the heck. When doing projects, are you:

A. Ant--Work solely on one project until it's completed.

B. Butterfly--Flit from one to another, never getting anything "finished".

C. Somewhere in between--work on a few projects simultaneously (Caterpillar?).

Feel free to add options. One might be:

S. Spider--I let others do the projects, and then entrap them in my Wargaming Web of Doom! Muahahahaha!

In between. As I've gotten older, I defintely finish projects, but I generally have 3-4 projects underway at the same time.

I haven't entirely finished one (insert appropriate curse word here) project in 10 years…I am a hopeless butterfly.

I'm a butterfly that only drinks nectar from the coca plant making me a Tony Montana type Butterfly.

C – I work deliberately on a few projects, rotating among them as I go.

How does this ‘finish a project' idea work then?

Butterfly… far too many projects started. Stopped beating myself up and joined The Guild painting contest. It keeps me focused to finish at least part of some projects each year.

wrgmr109 Oct 2017 9:29 a.m. PST

D. Steadily work on one project, however if it is a large one there can be interruptions to the flow.

EG: I've been painting Calpe Prussians for 3 years now almost finished, just under 1000 figures. It was interrupted for 3 months while I created my Vimy Ridge project. Other interruptions occured while I painted up a few WW2 20mm armour, and a some smaller projects for our group games. However the goal of finishing the Prusssians was always there.

B and S. I believe these were chosen on purpose. I swear I have a cunning plan somewhere.

Hafen von Schlockenberg09 Oct 2017 2:07 p.m. PST

I can't claim to be sharp enough for that.

Just to be absolutely clear, the entomological metaphors aren't meant to reflect our physical characteristics (heaven forbid!), but our behavioral ones.

But I'm sure you make a very handsome caterpillar, Winston.

Beetles, they are known to hibernate and so do many of my projects.

C. Though I occasionally have reached "enough done to play with."

And S sounds very tempting.

Major B--I can't wait to play with your 54mm ECW,so hurry up!
