How modern do yuo want? For the forties to fifties look, get 14th Army figures from TAG and just paint appropriate skin tones.

I have seen pictures where they wear khaki shorts, blue puttees and blue pullovers and a slouch hat. Timeline should be 1952 – 1956

I'd check out Brigade Games WW1 in Africa range:- link Lots that would be suitable. I use Raventhorpe WW1 Askaris for my games in 20mm. Hope that helps. Phil

If they are in fist war webbing or shorts that would be fine for police or police reserve too.
