Hey guys, I'm after making some Command bases with Napoleon, I'm thinking for Austerlitz or around that time. Do you have any suggestions of size, how many figures and so on? Should I make a Command stand of 1 (just Napoleon), 3, or more…? Any advice much appreciated. Thanks! |

Depending on the rules used my command figures are based with 1 figure for brigade commander, 2 for division, 3 for corps and 4 for army. By the way we play primarily CLS for Napoleonics. |

Since he will be the army commander, most rules do not rely on that base being a particular size. For me I would go full diorama mode to really make an impact. |

I'm with Skeets: size and/or number of figures on a base should indicate command level. Four figures might give you His Nibs, a body servant, an ADC and an escort cavalryman, or something along those lines. Considerations would be scale of figures and level of representation. Smaller figures raise the possibility of more on the command base, but you don't want it to pass for a unit, and at some level of representation, the escort squadron should be shown as such. |
