First of a promised range I gather from Gringos40. The production version will come with a lance pennon and will be supplemented with command figures.

Very subtle differences to create 1st or 3rd Lancers, more a paint job and some minor changes to horse furniture.

I'll bet that right arm comes separately and, if so, think of the conversion possibilities that would allow.

The Perry lancers are really nice, but the sword armed ones are a bit limited, all coming with shouldered swords. I also like the extended arm seen here, carrying the lance.

Nice also to have at least one "parade pose" for the horse. Oh for a few more 28mm horses from anyone just walking or, even better, stationary.

Good homework gone into this chap for a "Red Lancer" eg the exposed sheepskin and no crowned N on the shabraque.

Deadhead……..lance arms are indeed separate to allow
for a reasonable amount of pose variation..

Bonjour,

I was skeptical of the need for these until I saw them.

Amazing sculpts.

Probably will have to get some to escort Napoleon and Murat!

Cheers,

Paul

I know what you mean.

That is the snag with doing such an iconic unit. Everyone has already done them and everyone, already therefore, has them.

The trick is to come up with a novelty. For me, the separate right arm makes all the difference. If only someone would create a cavalry figure with a separate left arm also. (I do understand the argument that wargamers want instant readiness to paint, after my 95th I do not blame them!).

Standing horses…..these are parade ground figures, to judge by their rig. They would be at the trot or stationary…and which looks better? Perrys are beginning to listen, with their latest releases of Gardes d'Honneur
