Played with 1/72 models and GW rules

Great games and I'm glad you played Helm's Deep straight without the Elvish allies. Saruman sure had lots of gunpowder in your game.

Also much appreciate your home sculpted Nazgul. I see you did some mounted for your Buckleberry game.Look forward to other battles.

EDIT Looking back at your blog I see you have been fighting the good fight for quite some time. As a true 25mm guy I also like the fact that you play SBG with non-GW figures.

Great narrative. I still love that ruleset. If only…what? I don't know where it went south. GW? The movies?

Indeed 1/72 is so cheap that you can begin a project for no price, and the excellent chaps at red box keep providing with magnificent fantasy sets

True 25! Woo! What are you using for Hobbits here?

The GW plastics can be had for reasonable prices; $1 USD/figure or less if you shop around on eBay. This is the case especially if you don't mind used, partly painted, or slightly damaged models. Other affordable 25mm alternatives, particularly for Rohan, are various historical lines (representing Saxons, Vikings, Britons, etc.), which can very nicely sculpted and fit the genre perfectly.

Quick comment on figures. As for LotR's mini's. IMHO GW made the best, but lord they didn't mind 'charging for them either'.
Ive also seem a few BatRep's done in 15mm w/ of course other mini's used in there place and looked great as well.

This was a Great battle and BatRep. Well done Noigrim!
I think Rohan is one of the easiest forces to proxy as *firstvarty1979 mentioned.

I'm curious, where did you get the Uruki and Wildmen? I think they really could have used those Elves.

Saruman sure had lots of gunpowder in your game.
I'll say, two blast's to bring down the main gate?
Now thats the guy you want to build your front door!
