I plan on using these rules for US versus Plains Indians Wars. Are there any rules changes people recommend when playing this time period. I understand these rules are not the most historicaly accurate for these rules.

The author himself published some tweaks specifically for the Indian wars in an issue of Wargames Illustrated. Other than that, if you want a more accurate representation of Indian tactics I recommend making 'skirmish', rather than 'attack', the free action for mounted plains Indians.

Simon Walker, who is no longer on this forum, wrote up some changes and they are posted on the Facebook TMWWBK files section.

Thanks for the heads up on that Nick! I downloaded those today off the FB page. Good stuff there! NEW ACTIONS
Mount/Dismount & Evade. SENIOR LEADERS, FIRING WHILE MOUNTED, GO TO GROUND & FIELDCRAFT (rule amendment). TROOP TYPES
Crewed Weapons can be limbered for movement (the latter using pack mules) at increased speed (p39 of draft rules) & New attributes for US CAV, US INFANTRY, PLAINS INDIANS & MOUNTAIN TRIBES. OSL2000, If you wanna, post your email & I'll send them to ya, if you don't do FB. It's a Word Doc, but since I'm on a Mac, a Text Edit file now!

Ceterman (or anyone else that has the amendments), I don't do FB, but would be interested in getting a copy of the amendments.

daveshoe,
I just sent you a copy of the TMWWBK Plains Wars stuff from FB. Sorry it took so long, I was off TMP for a while…
